A gift voucher from Activity Days Ireland covers part or all of the cost of any guided or self-guided activity or package we offer along the Wild Atlantic Way from Cork to Donegal and in Dublin and some other parts of the country.

Types of Experiences Offered by Activity Days Ireland?

Activity Days Ireland offer lots of experiences in Ireland. We are adding to the list of activities all the time.

Boat Trips – to Islands, around Lighthouses or Nature and Whale Watching.

Cycling – along Greenways, guided cycling tour in Cork city and Kinsale.

Driving Experiences – Classic car for a day trip to remember or bespoke Chauffeur Driven trips.

Food and Drink Tours – Food Tours in Cork City and County, Whiskey tour and more to follow. Food Hampers – Cheese Selection or The Best of Cork Food Hampers.

Horse Riding on beaches or in national parks.

Water Sports – Kayak, Night Kayak for adults, Surf, Swim.

Walking – Guided and self-guided walks, mountain climbing or rock climbing, photo-walk with an expert guide.

What does Fitness for Experiences mean?

There is a minimum fitness level for each activity and the Frequently Asked Questions section gives details on the details of each fitness level. Activity Days Ireland uses the Mountaineering Ireland Fitness standard.

To comply with safety regulations we have a minimum age and or height requirement for some activities. Some activities are not suited to children as stated in the Good to Know section on each offering.

Some activities are not recommended for people with special needs or medical issues, or who are pregnant. We will be happy to give advice on the most suitable activities.

Driving Experiences with Gift Vouchers?

Driving Experiences are divided up into Self-Drive, Chauffeur Driven or Car Hire with a partner company. For self-drive classic cars or car hire, there is a list of documents required by the local provider and the contract is between the local provider and the customer.  A valid driving licence is required and customers must disclose if they have points on their driving licence.

Chauffeur Driven trips are organised on a bespoke trip basis for a day or for multiple days. Collection from airports can be arranged.

We can organise transport for an activity, at an extra charge per trip and depending on the number of people.

Are all your Activities listed?

The short answer is no, as there are more guided activities being added all the time. We know each guide as the expert in their area, and we evaluate guides before accepting them on our site. Activity Days Ireland has very high safety standards and the equipment used must be of the best quality.

Accommodation – We also offer accommodation along the Wild Atlantic Way in Hotels, Self-Catering and for 2021 in Glamping sites. These are on a request basis and we offer the accommodation closest to the activity.

Bespoke Planning – A bespoke planning service for trips from 2 to 14 days is also available. Send an email with your dates, special interests and number in your party. We can plan for groups of up to 30 people.

Gift vouchers can be used as part or full payment for an activity or package.

How to Redeem a Gift Voucher?

Activity Days Ireland will organise the activity or trip for the voucher holder, subject to availability. Contact the office at Team@activityDays.ie or phone 353-87-3306306 well in advance of the preferred date.

We can advise on the best time to go.

We contact the local guide and make the booking, subject to availability. Some activities are in high demand in the summer season, so contact the office in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

If the activity subsequently has to be cancelled due to bad weather then the activity can be rescheduled for a later date. 

How long are Gift Vouchers valid for in Ireland?

Gift Vouchers can be used for up to 5 years from the date of issue. This is the law in Ireland.

What if a Gift Voucher does not cover the full price of an activity?

If the Gift Voucher does not cover the full price of the activity or package the remainder of the money due will be invoiced to the customer before the trip is finally booked. If the voucher value is greater than the cost of the chosen activity the remaining balance can be put towards the cost of another activity. We do not offer cash refunds.

What Gift Vouchers from Activity Days do not Cover?

The Gift Vouchers cover any of the activities listed on the Activity Days website with the best local guides. We do not offer extreme sporting activities, preferring to have memorable fun, safe experiences.

Does Covid -19 Change the Activity Offering?

Activity Days Ireland has the Safety Certificate from Failte Ireland

and we ask all guides to acquire this important safety certification. As a result of Covid social distancing requirements, we have had to reduce the number of people accommodated on some activities and change how others were delivered in 2020 and 2021.  This will continue in 2022 to ensure your safety. We have a separate Health and Safety Statement for all activities.

All activities are pre-booked and the lead booking person’s details are used for contact tracing if needed. We take your safety very seriously and the activities we offer have been in great demand in 2020 as most are outdoors.
