Irish National Stud Tour

The National Stud, Co Kildare is a unique visitor experience in Ireland offering tours of the Through bread stud on a working farm.  Guided tour as you stroll through the parklands grounds of the National Stud Farm hearing about the breeding program, the prize stallions who live, and see some of the resident horses. 

The Japanese Gardens are one of the finest examples in Europe of this systole of the garden and were laid out by Japanese Horticulturist Tasso Eida.

The Irish Racehorse Experience   This is the first immersive experience in the world telling the stories of horses and horse racing has been at the heart of the Irish Culture. There is an extra charge for this and can be requested at the time of booking 

Things To Do

Plenty parking on site. Access off the N7. Kildare town 7 mins, Newbridge 15 mins drive, The Curragh 10 mins, Dublin … Drive   

A Cafe on site provides a wide range of meals.

A kid’s zone play area cater’s for the younger members of the party. 

Picnic area for families, toilets, and baby changing facilities 

Most of this experience is accessible to buggy, wheelchairs access as it’s on the flat on hard surfaces, though some of the Japanese Gardens have gravel paths.

The National Stud farm has been on this site since 1900 and managed by the Irish Government since 1943. The Guides National Stud Tour is for all the family. You may even see some Epson Darby and Grand National winners. When Queen Elizabeth 2 came to Ireland this was one of the places she had to see. 

The Japanese Gardens have a theme of the garden is ‘Life of Man” as you wander through the paths and Japanese-style planning in the garden.

The Irish Racehorse Experience   The first immersive experience in the world telling the stories of horses and horse racing has been at the heart of the Irish Culture. The Racing experience takes you on a journey through the rich history and heritage of Irish Thoroughbred racing, breeding, training, and racing. There is an extra charge for this and can be requested at the time of booking
