FAQ on Group Travel

  • Booking a Trip:Complete an online booking form, and one of our consultants will contact you to confirm your details. Please read the Terms and Conditions on our website. Once booked, you will receive provisional booking paperwork, which includes the itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, deposit request, and booking form. Return the signed booking form with your deposit. Payment can be made online using the code on the booking form.
  • Tour Group Leader:All correspondence will be addressed to the group leader, who is responsible for liaising with all members of the party. Payments can be made on behalf of the group or individually.
  • Timescale for Booking Trips:Trips require a minimum of 2 months for planning, but can be planned up to 12 months in advance. Larger groups require more planning time.
  • Proposed Trip Details and Options:A PowerPoint presentation can be organized for the group to outline a proposed trip.
  • Booking Confirmation for Trip:Upon receipt of the booking form, fitness level form, and deposit, confirmation paperwork will be sent. This represents a legal contract. Pre-trip information will include details of included activities and a packing list.
  • Specialist Guides:Specialist local guides are available, such as activity providers, yoga instructors, or genealogists. There is no dedicated tour leader with the group.
  • Deposit for Trip:A 30% deposit is required to confirm a booking, with the amount confirmed at the time of booking:
    • Traveling within 90 days: Full payment
    • Traveling within 6 months: 30% deposit, remainder due 4 months before departure
    • Traveling within 12 months: 30% deposit, remainder due 90 days before departure
  • Health and Safety:A certain fitness level is required for some activities. Notify the office about mobility issues or injuries to adapt activities accordingly.
  • Flight Bookings:We do not book flights. Nearby airports include Cork and Shannon, with Dublin, Knock, and Belfast as alternatives. Investigate flights for the best connections. Group members may arrive on different dates before joining the trip.
  • Pre- or Post-Night Accommodation:Accommodation can be booked for additional nights before or after the tour.
  • Preparation for a Trip to Ireland:Ensure all travelers have:
    • A visa to enter Ireland and the EU, with a valid passport
    • Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for Northern Ireland from January 2025 (non-European passport holders)
    • Holiday insurance
  • Visa Requirements for Ireland:Non-EU visitors need a visa to enter Ireland. Apply online:

  • Visa for Schengen Area Travelers:Travelers from the Schengen area do not need a visa for the South of Ireland but require an ETA for Northern Ireland from January 2025:

  • Northern Ireland ETA:From January 2025, non-European passport holders need an ETA to visit Northern Ireland:

  • Schengen Area Membership:Ireland and the UK are not part of the Schengen area but have a common travel area between the two countries.
  • Trip Details Delivery:Trip details, including vouchers for accommodation, transport, and activities, along with maps and suggested stops, will be sent 4 weeks before departure.
  • Support in Ireland:Our office in Cork is available to assist with any issues during your trip.
  • Trip Evaluation:Upon return, we welcome your feedback to improve our services. A feedback form will be provided, and you are encouraged to share your favorite photo and memory from the trip.
