Mountain Climb of Carrauntoohill – Full Day  start at 9am to climb Ireland’s highest mountain – via Devils Ladder or O’Shea’s Gully. Carrauntoohill is Ireland’s highest mountain, based in the MacGillycuddy Reeks in Kerry and standing at 1034m above sea level. To climb this mountain will take a full days walking into the Hags Glen surrounded by several of the highest mountains and famous ridges of Ireland. This trip needs a minimum of 4 people and is weather dependent.

Mangerton Mountain just skirts the Killarney national park and is an area where it would be quite common to find Ireland’s native red deer. This day trip starts at 9.30,  will give you breathtaking views and take your breath away literally.  The views from the track leading to the Devils Punchbowl looking over to the MacGillycuddy Reeks and below to Lough Leane and over Killarney are unsurpassed. We take the main track or the Horses Glen depending on conditions. Min 3 people, needs to be pre-booked well in advance and is weather dependent..

The Coomloughra Horseshoe – Without a doubt this is one of the finest full day ridge walks in Ireland. This walk starts at 9am, takes in all 3 of Ireland’s highest mountains in 1 stunning horseshoe walk around the beautiful Coomloughra. First climbing Skegmore to ascend Ireland’s 2nd highest mountain Beenkeragh (1010m) then over the knife-edged Beenkeragh ridge to Ireland’s highest mountain Carrauntoohill then finally onto Caher at 1001m.

Note –This walk is for people at the highest level of hill walking who need to have previously done Carrauntoohill  with the same guide so their level of fitness can be assessed.
